Johanna Bruckner (b. 1984) ![]() Johanna Bruckner, born in Vienna in 1984, is an artist whose work is shown internationally, most recently, at the CAC, Centre dâArt Contemporain Geneva; the Venice Biennale (2018); the Galerie EIGEN+ART Lab, Berlin; the Deichtorhallen Hamburg, Sammlung Falckenberg (2018); Galerie Reflector Contemporary, Bern (2018); the KW, Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin (2017); the Migros Musem für Gegenwartskunst, Zürich (2017); the Villa Croce, Museum for Contemporary Art, Genoa (2017); the Kunsthaus in Hamburg (2016); the Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof (2016); the Manifesta 11, Zurich (2016) and documenta 13. She is now preparing a solo exhibition at the Städtische Galerie Wolfsburg titled âMensch, Macht, Maschine'. She has lectured at various universities and institutions and her work was awarded by numerous grants; she received the Hamburg Stipendium for Fine Arts (2016), was awarded a scholarship holder for the overseas artist studio program at the Banff Center for Visual Arts in Canada in (2015), is currently a fellow at the Sommerakademie Paul Klee (2017-19), and was nominated for a College Fellow in Media Practice at Harvard University, Cambridge, US. |
